Carys Bowkett

Carys grew up in rural Wales. Due to the limited acting opportunities in her local area, Carys left home at 16 and moved to Swansea to study acting at college, where she was able to access theatre and meet people with similar ambitions. She became a member of West Glamorgan Youth Theatre Company, where her passion was nurtured and grew. She gained lots of experience, performing in several productions including ‘Anne Boleyn’. Determined to pursue a career in acting, Carys successfully applied to the Foundation Course in Acting at LAMDA, which she completed in 2015.

Carys was subsequently accepted onto LAMDA’s three year BA (Hons) Professional Acting, and is delighted to start her training in September 2015 as a Genesis LAMDA Scholar.
