Partner Organisations

Working with the leaders of some of the UK’s most prestigious and progressive arts and educational organisations, the Genesis Foundation creates and supports programmes that nurture and develop exceptional young artists.

The Sixteen

Harry Christophers and The Sixteen are one of Genesis Foundation’s longest-standing partners, having been central to the Foundation’s major commissions. At the heart of the partnership is the funding of Genesis Sixteen, a unique training programme that nurtures talented young voices.

Young Vic

The Young Vic is recognised for its work with emerging directors in the early stages of their careers. Genesis Foundation has funded the Young Vic’s Genesis Directors Programme since 2003, currently supporting the Genesis Fellowship, the Genesis Directors Network and the Genesis Future Directors Award programmes.

LAMDA

The Genesis LAMDA Network at the internationally renowned drama school in West London is a flagship mentoring programme for actors, stage managers and technicians, which offers students vital support beyond graduation and equips them with the skills and knowledge they need to develop successful and sustainable careers in the industry.

National Theatre

The Genesis Foundation supports Rufus Norris and the National Theatre’s work in developing new forms of music theatre in the UK. The aim is to prioritise the development of new forms of music theatre and to enhance the opportunity, structure and rigour around music theatre work in the UK.

Previous Partners

Royal Court Theatre

For over 20 years, John Studzinski and later the Genesis Foundation supported the Royal Court’s International Playwrights’ programme, with the aim of supporting its ground-breaking work with emerging international playwrights. Over the years the theatre’s International Department encouraged creative dialogue with hundreds of playwrights and theatre-makers around the world.
