Chris Levine collaborates with Antony and the Johnsons in New York

Chris Levine is currently collaborating with musicians Antony and the Johnsons as light artist on a new large-scale production, Swanlights, to premiere at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on 26 January 2012. Chris first teamed up with the band in 2009 to create a laser installation for a live show at the Manchester International Festival.
Featuring a 60-piece orchestra and envisioned as a meditation on light, nature, and femininity, Swanlights includes songs from all four of Antony and the Johnsons’ albums set to symphonic arrangements by Nico Muhly, Rob Moose, and Maxim Moston. Swanlights has been commissioned by The Museum of Modern Art, New York.
Chris Levine’s partnership with the Genesis Foundation began in 2010 with the commission of a light-based cross that was on public display in the former Holy Trinity Church, London. He is currently working on a new commission for the Genesis Foundation.
