Genesis LAMDA scholars film new TV series, Spotless

Genesis LAMDA scholars film new TV series, Spotless

Wednesday, 27 August 2014

Genesis LAMDA scholars, Ciarán Owens (class of 2011) and the recently graduated Abu Salim (class of 2014), have been filming a new TV crime drama called Spotless.

Set in London, Spotless is the story of a troubled crime scene cleaner, Jean, whose tidy life is turned upside down when his outlaw brother Martin crash lands into his world, entangling them in the deadly dynamics of organized crime.

Co-created by Shameless UK producer and writer Ed McCardie, and Corinne Marrinan (CSI, Crossing Lines), ten one-hour episodes are being produced for the French premium TV channel Canal+. Abu and Ciarán appear alongside a cast that includes Canadian actor Marc-André Grondin (C.R.A.Z.Y) and France’s Denis Ménochet (Inglourious Basterds), with British actress Miranda Raison (24: Live Another Day) and Downton Abbey’s Mr Bates, Brendan Coyle, also in the mix.

Spotless is due to air on Canal+ in 2015.
