Genesis Sixteen alumnus launches King’s Baroque at Chelsea Festival

James Way, a graduate from Genesis Sixteen 1, has set up a new ensemble of singers and period instrumentalists: King’s Baroque. On Friday 25 October in their first concert as Resident Ensemble at the Chelsea Festival, King’s Baroque present a mixed programme J.S Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No.3 and Fantasia for Organ in G minor, contrasted with more surprising works such as J. F Rebel’s Le Cahos and the premiere of an orchestral suite written by James Andrewes based on Vivaldi’s famous Gloria.

The concert features three Genesis Sixteen graduates as soloists: Molly Alexander (soprano); Angus McPhee (bass) and Ben Clarke (tenor).
