Genesis Sixteen on Radio 3

Harry Bennett from the Genesis Sixteen joined Sara Mohr-Pietsch on the BBC Radio 3 Breakfast show to talk about the scheme.

He explained

“[Genesis Sixteen] aims to nurture the next generation of ensemble choral singers and it gives us, the members, the opportunity to train at the highest level. It’s going incredibly well, I’m absolutely loving it.”

Harry was on for the ‘Your Call’ slot and requested Holst’s Nunc Dimittis:

“It’s such a magical piece. It begins so quietly and so mysteriously, like a shimmer of light… Immediately that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.”
