Greta Alfaro shortlisted for the Catlin Art Prize

Greta Alfaro shortlisted for the Catlin Art Prize

Wednesday, 16 May 2012

The talented Spanish photographer, Greta Alfaro, a former Genesis Scholar at the Royal College of Art, has been nominated for the prestigious Catlin Art Prize.

The Prize, now in its sixth year, hosts an annual exhibition featuring the most promising art graduates in the UK one year on from their degree shows. With a shortlist of ten artists, the Prize provides a platform for those who demonstrate real potential to make a significant mark in the art world during the next decade.

Greta’s work can be seen in the Catlin Art Prize exhibition at Londonewcasle Project Space in Shoreditch, London until 25 May.

On 16 May, a panel of judges will award one artist the £5000 prize. The judges are Nancy Durrant, Arts Commissioning Editor of The Times, Joe La Place, CEO of All Visual Arts, and Ossian Ward, Visual Arts Editor of Time Out.

This year there is an additional Visitor Vote of £2000. Votes for Greta Alfaro can be cast via Twitter, Facebook and a ballot box at the venue.
