Welsh National Opera has won the prestigious ‘Opera and Music Theatre’ Award at this year’s Royal Philharmonic Society Awards. The RPS singled out Lohengrin, Lulu and Paul Bunyan as ‘three bold, contrasting productions, each of the very highest musical and theatrical standard.’
Polly Graham, WNO’s Genesis Assistant Director, supported David Poutney in his acclaimed production of Lulu and played a big part in directing Welsh National Youth Opera’s Paul Bunyan which the RPS commended for giving a ‘fresh and powerful insight into Britten’s first opera.’
